90° to the table. If the blade does not contact the full
length of the square:

■ Slide the zero c learance blade insert in towards th e

■ Retighten the three screws.
■ Repeat steps 1-3 for the opposite side of the blade.
MITER LOCK LEVER ADJUSTMENT

should be required to move the table (blade). While it is
always possible to force the table to move, it should resist
moving when a reason able am ount o f force is app lied.
T o check, follow these steps:
■ Re le as e m it er l oc k le ver a nd p os it ion b la de a t a n
“unindexed” position. Lock the miter lock lever .
■ T ry and rotate the table. If the table easily moves:
- R elease the miter lock le ver . Locate the se t screw
underneath the miter lock lever .
- Use a 4mm hex wrench to adjust the set screw.
- Lock the miter lock lever and try moving the table.
Readjust if necessary .
BEVEL LOCK LEVER ADJUSTMENT

lever set in the “locked” position the locking action should

required to move the blade. While it is always possible to
force the blade to move, it should resist moving when a
reasonable amount of force is applied.
If the bevel moves easily:
■ Release the bevel lock lever .
■ Locate the two 12 mm locking jam nuts (41) behind
the bevel lock lever .
■ Loosen the top locking jam nut.

mechanism turn the bottom jam nut counterclockwise.
■ Lock t he bevel lock lever and try moving t he blade.
Readjust if necessary .
Note : Whe n un locked the beve l mec hanism shou ld
f r ee l y p i vo t . A gr at i n g s o un d i n d ic a t e s t he b ev e l
mechanism needs to be loosened slightly .

Check that the miter saw bevels easily by unlocking the
bevel lock lever and tilting the blade.
Note:At least one thread of the pivot bolt should stick out
past the hex lock nut (42).
If the movement is tight or there is looseness in the pivot,
do the following adjustment procedure:
■ Unlock the bevel lock lever .
■ T urn the hex lock nut with 19 mm socket.

- Rotate the depth adjustment cam so the flat on the
cam is facing upward.
Note: Head Hold Down is for transport and storage

place while hold down is engaged.
- T o lock the blade in the lower position.
- Pull the depth adjustment cam to the right and lower
the blade into the table.
- Rotate the depth adjustment cam until slot engages
pin on upper guard.

BLADE INSERT (FIG. 9)
The zero clearance blade insert needs to be repositioned
s o i t i s t e m p o r a r i l y o u t o f t h e w a y w h e n a l i g n i n g
the blade. It may be replaced after the blade is aligned.
■ L o o s e n t h e t h r e e s c r e w s t h a t s e c u r e t h e z e r o
clearance blade insert on one side of the blade.
■ Slide the zero clearance insert away from the blade
as far as possible.
■ Retighten the three screws.
■ Repeat steps 1-3 for the opposite side of the blade.

Place the square agai nst th e fenc e and next to the
blade as illustrated. Locate the square properly so it
do es no t c ont act t he set i n t he te eth of s awb lad e,
gi vi n g a n in a cc ur at e re ad in g. Th e s aw bl ad e bo dy
should contact the full length of the square.
■ If blade contacts full length of square, no alignment is
necessary , skip step below . If blade is not square to
the fence, follow the alignment procedure.

knobs approximately two turns. Slide fences toward
blade and lift up to remove.
- Loosen the fence lock bolts.
- Plac e a comb inatio n sq uare again st th e sa wblade
and adjust the fence until it is 90° to the blade.
- Tighten the fence lock bolts.
- Replace sliding fences and tighten fence lock knobs.
ADJUST MITER SCALE INDICA T OR (FIG. 14)
■ Loosen the Phillips screw that holds the indicator (8)
in place.
■ Reposition the indicator to align it with 0° mark, and
retighten screw .
