ZOOM
The ZOOM feature(27) allo ws you to magnify a certain area of the images recor ded
on the D VD .
1. Pr ess ZOOM button to enlarge the image by 4x.
2. Pr ess ZOOM button again to enlarge the image by 16x.
3. Pr ess Up/ Down Left/ Right to select the ar ea you want to magnify .
4. The thir d press ZOOM will cancel the zoom function and r esume to normal.
TITLE
When pla ying a data disc or audio CD , p ress TITLE(28) to s witch among the 3
options:
pages of m usic, photo and movie.P ress TITLE button(28) to open the title
containing on the D VD disc while the D VD is pla ying.
SUBTITLE
• Pr ess SUBTITLE button(29) once to bring up the subtitle information which will be
shown on the top right corner of the screen.
• Each time y ou press SUBTITLE, y ou can switch to another subtitle a vailable on the
disc.
DVD A UDIO
Press D VD AUDIO button(30) once to bring up the audio information which will be
shown on the top right corner of the screen.Y ou will see the language selected and
the digital audio output information.
Each time you pr ess D VD AUDIO you can switch to another audio language and
audio output available on the disc.

PBC ON mode. the PBC ON mode can
only be displa yed, and is not open for
changes.

ANGLE
Press ANGLE button(31) once to bring up the angle information which will be shown
on the top right corner of the screen.
Each time you pr ess ANGLE, you can switch to another camera angle a vailable in the
disc.
SYSTEM SET UP
SET UP
Press setup k ey on the r emote control or long pr ess “AS/PS” button on the remote
control to bring the system setup menu when the unit is under the stop/ pla yback
mode.
• When the cursor is located at the top of the on-scr een displa y , pr ess LEFT/RIGHT
arro w ke ys to switch between diff erent pages.
• Y ou can press the DO WN arr ow k ey to mov e to the setup page, and press the
UP/DO WN arro w ke ys to select the settings that you want to change.
• Open the selection list by pr essing the right arr ow ke y on the selected item. Change
the selection by using the UP/DO WN arr ow ke ys and enter ke y .
SETTING THE A UDIO LANGUA GE
Menu LANGUA GE is used to select the setup men u and OSD (on-screen displa y)
language used during the disc pla yback and instructional operations. The language
selection includes: English, Spanish, Greek, Swedish, Dutch, Italian and Poland.
Disc audio: When a D VD disc playback begin, this unit wil automaticall y select the
default audio language of the unit. Please notice that if the language r ecorded in the
disc is not available in the language list in the disc men u, the language origianally
recorden on the disc will be used. If the disc is equipped with a specific playback
language, this specific language will be used.
The functions of disc subtitle and disc menu are similar to that of disc audio . The y are
used to set a default pla yback language value for the D VD subtitle and menu displa y
language.
DISPLA Y SETUP
You will first see the pictur e as shown on below after you enter the DISPLA Y setup
menu page.
TV ASPECT
Depending on the type of television you ha v e, the image adjustment offers 2 options
for you setting: 4:3 and 16:9.This item is used to display image data in the wide screen
film on the normal TV set. The option 16:9 is used when the D VD pla y er is connected
to wide screen TV in full mode, and the scr een will displa y pictures in full size.
The displa y mode item can only be modified when the TV displa y mode is set to 4:3.
Tw o options are pr ovided: Letterbo x and panscan.
LETTERBO X
This image option will displa y the panoramic frame and might appear with black bars
at the top and bottom of the screen.
PANSCAN
This image option will displa y pictures with the left and right edges of the picture
being cut off so it fills the whole screen. It is selected f or the normal TV set displa y .
This mode is select when the picture is displa yed in panoramic vie w and complete
scan format.
TV OUTPUT
The item is selecting output video formats form P AL or NTSC , audio default.
A UDIO SETUP
The below screen will be displa y once enter ed into the audio setup menu page.
SAMPLE FREQ
• The sample freq. item offers 2 options. If the connected r eceiv er or amplifier is
incapable of processing digital input with sampling fr equency of 96KHz, it will select
48KHz as the sampling frequency to compr es the signal to a standard signal. After
the 48KHz frequency is selected, the unit will automaticall y conv ert the 96KHz
signal in to the 48KHz signal, and then y our system will be able to execute the
decoding on the signals.
• If the receiver is ca pable of outputting digital signals with a sampling frequency of
96KHz, it will select 96KHz for the signal to be output as it is. After 96KHz
frequency is selected, the unit will be able to pr ocess all signals without an y further
operations requir ed.
• The digital output is provided via the item 5.1 digital audio amplifier .
• ON: digital audio output s witch on that you can connect to extern digital audio
receiv er .
• OFF: digital audio output is s witched off.
THE D YNAMIC RANGE COMPRESSION (DRC)
• ON: select this option to turn on the Dynamic Range Compression so that dialogue
remains clear ev en at low v olume levels.
• OFF: select this option to turn off the Dynamic Range Compression, and ha v e the
soundtrack presented exactly as it was cr eated.
LOCK SETUP
The lock set up page is used to set the parental contr ol. The rating item is used to set
the rating level.
