on the ro tisserie by pressing the right but ton ( an audible sound and LED will indicate this
has turned on). Adjust charcoal t o suit the food being cooked.
Do not leav e the appliance cooking for extended periods o f time unattended. As food
cooks on the ro tisserie, fa t can drip o causing air-ups which can spoil f ood. Constan t
supervision can help to r educe the incidence of food spoilage.
When the food has nished cooking, press the right butt on again (the LED at the swit ch
will turn o), t o stop the r otisserie from turning. Hold the handle with one hand and lift the
other end fr om the motor (using hea t resistan t gloves). Place food on a platt er and release
the outer Cliplock F orkTM , then remo ve using metal t ools. Release the second Cliplock
ForkTM and r emove the rod. Pull the second fork fr om the food. No te: T ake car e as the
ro tisserie parts will be hot. Clean the r od by rubbing down with water and de tergen t, and
clean the Cliplock ForksTM by r st soaking in hot water and then rubbing do wn with water
and deter gent. Once dry , the rod can be coat ed with a thin lm of cooking oil. Ro tate the
rod handle clockwise and lock in the short er setup.
With the barbeque cool, open the st orage door on the left hand side of the barbeque and
push the rod in to the round hole , then overlap the f orks and put next to the r od handle.
Rota te the two r otisserie poles anti-clockwise and then lower . T o x into the barbeque,
press them sligh tly below the top level o f the barbeque and release (the int ernal spring
switch will then hold them in place ).
AFTER COOKING
1. After cooking and whilst the barbeque is still warm, remov e scraps from the grill with a scr aper .
2. Excess fat and meat scr aps can be scraped o the inside of the barbeque by r emoving
the grill to gain access.
WARNING: Some surf aces may still be hot – please use pr otectiv e gloves.
3. Remove was tes fr om inside charcoal chamber , and under the char coal grid and element.
IGNITION PROCEDURE
LIGHTING THE BARBEQUE USING THE F AST FLAME
IGNITION SY STEM™
The F AST FLAME IGNITION SYS TEM™ works on the principle that char coal will ignite
when heated abo ve a certain temper ature (it is no t dependant on a ame to ignite ). First
pile the charcoal o ver the charcoal grid ( allowing it to o verow up to 20mm ). With the
charcoal in place , press the le ft button ( an audible sound and LED will indicate tha t the
element has turned on ). The element will heat up and run f or 7 minutes. During this time,
the charcoal closest t o the element will ignite. As it heats up and ashes, the surrounding
charcoal will do the same . Aft er 7 minutes the element will turn o and the ignition of the
charcoal will con tinue to naturally ignit e. A fter 10- 15 minutes ( depending on the weather
conditions and the fuel used), most of the char coal should have partially or fully ignit ed.
Using metal t ools, spr ead the charcoal inside the char coal chamber and add extra fuel if
necessary ( extra fuel can be added during the cooking period as well). Never use mor e
than 1.2kg of fuel a t any one time. See the Quick User Guide for mor e information.
OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL INS TRUCTIONS
A fairly pr otect ed location is desirable f or pleasant and ecient cooking. T ry to keep the
barbeque shelter ed from str ong winds as this will drastically alt er cooking eciency . If this
is unavoidable , position the length of the barbeque to be par allel in the direc tion of the
wind. K eep the barbeque level. Check frequently tha t the charcoal sta ys ignited (this does
not necessarily mean a ame is visible ), and that ar e ups are no t occurring. Make sur e
the minimum distances of the barbeque t o any wall or combustible surface ar e met, and
that when not using the pedestal, the supporting surface can withstand the heat. When
using the pedestal, t ake care that the gr ound is level and no combustible material is close by .
WARNING! T his barbeque will become very hot, do not mo ve it during operation.

FUEL TYPE AND CONSUMPTION
This barbeque is designed to cook with lump char coal and charcoal briquet tes. The heat
produced and consump tion time may vary drama tically depending on the type of fuel
used, and the pr evailing weather conditions . Please see the Quick User Guide f or more
informa tion on charcoal ignition and cooking. Do no t use accelerants f or fuel ignition or
fuels impregna ted with accelerant s in this appliance as they may cause damage t o the
appliance or injury .
When igniting the charcoal, pile the charcoal up ov er the charcoal grid (this is the cir cular
grid above the element in the cen tre of the char coal chamber) so that it o verows the
grid by no mor e than 20mm. When in use, the height of the char coal should never pass
the top lev el of the charcoal chamber and the amount being used a t any one time should
not exceed 1.2kg.
Aft er cooking, the r emaining charcoal should be allow ed to burn o natur ally (this should be
taken int o account when planning the cooking times). Once nished, the ash and r emaining
fuel should be remo ved and placed into a non- ammable container ( a metal bucket is ideal), a
small amount of wa ter added (just in case there is still any heat le ft in the waste ) and disposed
of saf ely as per local council rules. Not e that pro tection fr om heat should always be used.
CHROME OPEN GRILL
The cooking surface f or this barbeque is a chromed open grill, which can be fully r emoved
or lever ed up from either side t o add additional charcoal. The grill should be positioned
so that the hinges ar e facing down (they will allocat e in two not ches at the front and
rear o f the charcoal chamber). T ake care tha t food cooked is wider than the gaps in the
grill or positioned lengthwa ys so it doesn’t f all through. Over time, the surf ace of the
grill will discolour with the heat of the fuel (this is a normal pr ocess and not a fault ). It is
recommended tha t the grill is placed on the barbeque after the char coal has ignited and
any adjustment on the fuel distribution has been done. If needed please remov e the grills
for gr eater clear ance. A fter use, allow the grill to cool and then clean. A fter cleaning, coat
with a little cooking oil to minimise an y rusting.
ROTISCOPE TECHNOL OGY™
Rotiscope T echnologyTM is the pat ent pending built-in r otisserie system of the barbeque .
The maximum ra ted capacity of the mot or is 15kg, Please check the dimensions o f the
meat ar e suitable for the pr oduct befor e purchasing.
The ro tisserie rod and Cliplock ForksTM ar e stored in the compartment a t the front of the
left hand side panel. L ift the storage door up, remo ve the Cliplock ForksTM (take car e of
the sharp points of the f ork ngers) and pull the r od out from the stor age bracket (this is
enclosed so the rod will no t interfer e with the electrical wiring). Not e: If the barbeque has
been in operation, the rotisserie part s may be hot – r emove bef ore cooking or use heat
proo f gloves. The handle of the ro tisserie rod must rst be ext ended by ro tating the handle
anti-clockwise until the thr ead releases, extending the handle fully and tigh tening in place
by r otating anti-clockwise again. T o t food onto the r otisserie, rst slide a Cliplock ForkTM
(base rst) on to the rod, and lock o by pr essing down the small fork lev er . Push the
food ont o the rotisserie r od and onto the Cliplock ForkTM . Push the second se t of Cliplock
ForksTM ont o the rod and int o the other end of the food, and lock in position by pressing
down the small fork le ver .
T o extend the r otisserie poles, r st press and r elease them so the rst section pops out
from the barbeque . Pull the poles up and ro tate clockwise t o allocate the poles in one of
the 3 height settings . The pole to the righ t contains the r otisserie motor . T ake the rotisserie
rod with the f ood attached and place the point ed end in the motor hole a t the top of the
right hand side pole. Lever the handle side o f the rod down in to the slot of the left hand
pole (take car e the slot in the rod alloca tes to the k eyway ) and close the pole cover . T urn
