PLAY THE PROGRAMMABLE PADS
• Strike the Pads freely.
While you play keyboard sounds, you can add
additional sounds from the pads in real time.
Each Pad provides a different sound (sam-
ple or percussive instrument).
The sound configuration of the pads is user-
programmable. (Refer to the Rec/Edit chap-
ter 20).
ADD PITCH BEND AND/OR MODULATION
TO YOUR PLAYING
While you play, you can modify the keyboard
sounds by using the WK3 Trackball.
This “physical controller” is preset to generate
Pitch Bend and Modulation messages. The
current Performance will be appropriately set for
the effect of these messages.
1. To obtain Pitch Bend, move the Trackball in left/
right directions.
Pitch Bend is a “glide” (or glissato) effect
which simulates the effect heard in certain
instruments (trombone, guitar, violin, etc.).
2. To obtain Modulation, move the Trackball up or
down.
Modulation is an oscillating effect which
simulates the vibrato of a violin, a human
voice, a clarinet, etc..
