A5 +12 V switching voltage output
(max. 0.5 A)
is at blade contact A 5 when the car radio is
switched off.
For automatic aerials (extending/retracting),
aerial amplifiers (operating voltage) etc.
A4 terminal for +12 V ignition voltage
Connect on terminal 15
of the vehicle if you
wish to switch the car radio on and off with
the ignition switch.
The connection A4 can also be left unconnec-
ted. In this case, the radio must always be
switched on and off with the
¡
IO
button.
The unit then does not switch off after one
hour when the ignition is not switched on. The
security LED does not flash.
A2 Phone mute connection
for car phones and radio equipment:
The car radio is muted when a connected car
phone or radio equipment is in operation.
»PHONE« appears in the display, see page 15,
EXPERT settings.
The blade contact A2 from the mute output of
the telephone/radio equipment must be
grounded!

Control for external display
You can install this car radio in a vehicle with
external display from Opel, GM or Vauxhall.
You can see the connections for the external
display in the following table.The display type
is usually recognized automatically.
If the external display does not function pro-
perly, switch off the radio with the

IO
but-
ton. Press and hold down the station button

2, switch on the radio with the
¡
IO
but-
ton.In the display, you see »DIGID 8« or
»DIGID 10«.
After approx. 3 seconds, the car radio swit-
ches display types.

The cable from the vehicle at contact A2
in Opel, GM and Vauxhall should be cut
and insulated for reasons of safety.
After connecting the unit, check the theft
warning system of the vehicle.
Before installing the car radio, check
whether the contact assignments for the
unit and the car correspond to avoid pos-
sible destruction of electronics systems
installed in the car.
