Reception conditions change constantly
during driving.
Mountains, buildings and bridges can impair
reception.
This is especially true when you are far from a
station.

RDS is an information system, whose signals
are transmitted additionally by most FDM
radio stations.
Programme service
For RDS programmes, you see the name of
the program in the display,
e.g. » ANTENNE «.
Please note that RDS channels can have diffe-
rent regional broadcasts and programme
names.
Alternative frequencies (AF)
An RDS channel is broadcast from several
stations at different transmission frequencies
(alternative frequencies).
You select an RDS channel and your car radio
switches automatically to the alternative fre-
quency with the best reception, if available.
