Glossary
Warm Up
Slow build-up of speed (for up to approx. 3 minutes)
upon commencement of training
Cool Down
Slow reduction in speed (up to approx. 3 minutes) at the
end of the training session
Recovery
Recovery pulse-rate measurement at the end of the trai-
ning session. The difference between the first and last
pulse-rates taken over a period of one minute is determi-
ned, and on the basis of this a score for fitness is calcu-
lated. Where the training schedule remains the same,
any improvement on this score is an indication of an
increase in the level of fitness.
Reset
Deletion of contents of display and restart display.
Programs
Training possibilities which demand certain speeds and
inclines and which are managed either manually or
along program-controlled lines.
Profiles
A sequence of the same or alternating speeds and incli-
nes extending over time or distances.
Dimension
Units of measure to display km/h , Kjoule oder kcal,
etc.
Pulse-rate
Recording of the number of heart-beats per minute
Max. Pulse-beats
Value calculated on the basis of 220 minus age
Pulse zone
Pulse-rate value determined either manually or by the
program, which requires to be monitored.
Fat burn-up pulse-rate
Value calculated on the basis of: 65% maximum pulse-
beats
Fitness pulse rate
Value calculated on the basis of: 75% maximum pulse-
beats
Age
Here a value to be input for the purpose of calculating
maximum pulse-beats.
HI-symbol
If HI appears, a target pulse-rate is too high by 11
beats.
If HI flashes, the maximum pulse-rate has been excee-
ded.
LO-symbol
If LO appears, a target pulse-rate is too low by 11
beats.
Menu
Display in which values are to be either input or selec-
ted.
HRC control
The running-belt control features a facliity for automatic
adjustment of speed or incline to pre-set values.
