• The appliance must only be connected to an eart-
hed mains socket.
• Do not use the appliance if the socket is damaged.
• Make sure that no other appliances with high power
consumption are connected in the same electric circuit
when the barbecue is in use.
• Always pull out the plug after each use, or in case of a
fault. WARNING: Pull out on plug itself, and not on the
power cable.
•WARNING: Do not allow the power cable to become
trapped or rub on any sharp edges, and check it peri-
odically.
• The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged the appliance should be scrapped.
• Keep the power cable away from any hot parts.
• Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands
• The barbecue must only be operated on a horizontal,
stable surface.
• Do not move the barbecue while it is in operation.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in opera-
tion.
•WARNING: Some parts of the barbecue can become
very hot. For this reason, you should keep the barbe-
cue out of the reach of small children and pets.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
• Wear protective gloves whenever you touch any hot
parts.
• The appliance will remain hot for some time after being
switched off. Take care that you do not burn yourself on
it and do not place any objects on the barbecue, as
there is a risk of fire.
• Do not use the electric kettle barbecue near any easily
combustible objects such as curtains, partitions, wood,
hay, dry bushes, etc.
• To prevent the barbecue from being splashed or falling
into water, always ensure that it is used at a minimum
distance of 3 m away from the vicinity of water such as
pools and ponds.
• Never use the barbecue in the rain, since this barbecue
is an electrical appliance.
• To prevent risks, any repairs to the appliance (such as
the replacement of a heating element) must only be
carried out by the customer service department of offi-
cial dealerships and service partners.
• None of the original parts supplied by the manufactu-
rer must be modified.
• If necessary, use only earthed extension cables rated
for a minimum of 10 A (230 V) (min. 1.5 mm cable cross-
section) and ensure that it does not become a tripping
hazard, and that the appliance cannot be tipped over.
• The extension cable used should be as short as possi-
ble.
• Never connect two or more extension cables together.
• Do not lay the power cable across a path.
• Never immerse the barbecue, the heating element
or the power cable in water or liquid for cleaning pur-
poses: risk of injury, fire and electric shock.
• If the appliance becomes damp or wet, the mains
plug must be pulled out immediately. Do not reach
into the water.
• Before you remove the heating element from the
barbecue, pull out the mains plug first.
• When the appliance is not used, even for short
periods, switch the temperature control and the
main switch to «OFF».
• The drip pan must always be inserted in the barbecue
while barbecuing.
• Clean the drip pan regularly.
• Do not store the barbecue outdoors.
• Allow the appliance to cool down completely after use,
before you clean or store it.
• Do not use the electric barbecue as a heater or for dry-
ing wet clothes.
• Do not use the barbecue indoors or for conventional
cooking.
• If there are flames, do not extinguish the fire with water.
Switch the barbecue off. Pull out the power cable and
wait until the barbecue has cooled down.
• Always ensure that the mains socket used has the cor-
rect voltage (230 V). The mains socket must also be suit-
able for equipment with a power consumption of 2200
watts.
• Only use the barbecue as described in these instructi-
ons. All other uses not described in this guide may
cause a fire, electric shocks or other injuries and
damage.
• This appliance complies with the technical standards
and the safety provisions for electrical appliances.

• Your OUTDOORCHEF kettle barbecue is an innova-
tion in electric barbecuing. A heat reflector ensures
the even distribution of heat and enables you to
barbecue at high temperatures of up to 300° C.
• Dripping grease and marinades vaporise on the
aluminium protective foil, giving the food that typi-
cal barbecue flavour.
• A replaceable aluminium protective foil protects
the reflector from dripping barbecue juices.
• The juices dripping down from the barbecued food
are collected in the drip pan.
