Problem
“ ” flashes and an alarm tone sounds

A busy tone sounds when you

the call is disconnected.
The unit does not work.
Static, sound cuts in/out, fades.
Interference from other electrical units.
The handset does not operate or ring.
Cause and Remedy
•
You are too far from the base unit. Move closer and try
again.
•
Plug in the AC adaptor.
•
The handset has been canceled or has not been
registered. Register the handset in the base unit
(p. 19).
•
If the handset is registered to more than one base
unit, check “Selecting the base unit access” (p. 97)
•
Another two handsets are in use.
•
Another ISDN equipment connected to the same line
is in use.
•
Call restriction is activated.
•
The handset is out of range. Move closer to the base
unit and make the call again.
•
Plug in the AC adaptor.
•
Turn the power ON (p. 13).
•
Check the settings (p. 9–13).
•
Charge the batteries fully (p. 12).
•
Clean the charge contacts and charge again (p. 12).
•
Unplug the AC adaptor and turn the power OFF to
reset. Plug in the AC adaptor and turn the power ON.
Then try again.
•
Re-install the handset batteries (p. 109) and try again.
•
The handset has been canceled or has not been
registered. Register the handset (p. 19).
•
Locate the handset and base unit away from other
electrical appliances (p. 3).
•
Move closer to the base unit.
•
Turn the power ON (p. 13).
•
The ringer is set to OFF. Select the desired volume
level (p. 20).
•
Check the condition of connection with local telephone
company and “ISDN extra programming” (p. 95–96).
•
Check “Setting for the ISDN service” (p. 30–36).
