Before Requesting Help
Problem
The base unit does not ring.
You cannot dial.
You cannot redial.
You cannot program the handset setfings
such as display language.
You cannot program the system settings
such as call distribution.
You cannot store a name and phone
number in the phonebook.
While programming or searching, the
unit starts to ring and stops the
program/search.
The display goes to the standby mode
while viewing the Caller List or
phonebook.
Cause and Remedy
•
The ringer is set to OFF. Select the desired volume
level (p. 20).
•
The call distribution is set to DIL or MSN. It rings only
ALL is selected or the intercept routing is set to ON.
•
The unit is in call prohibition mode. Cancel the mode
(p. 73).
•
The dialed number is restricted. Select the level 0 in
call restriction mode or cancel the number in the
restiction table (p. 75, 76).
•
Key lock mode is set. Cancel the mode (p. 85).
•
If the last number dialed was more than 24 digits
long, the number will not be redialed.
•
Programming is not possible while the unit is in the
talk, speakerphone or intercom mode or when
viewing the Caller List/phonebook list.
•
Do not pause for over 60 seconds while
programming.
•
Make sure that the handset is in the standby mode.
•
