Deactivating a cooking zone
A cooking zone is deactivated
a) by activating both PLUS and MINUS sensor of the requested cooking zone simultaneously, or
b) by adjusting the requested cooking zone to power level setting „0.“ using the MINUS sensor.
Attention: Touching the ON/OFF sensor [1] will deactivate the entire control (i. e., both cooking zones
always at the same time)!
Dual-circuit setting function
The large cooking zone of this built-in hob features a dual-circuit heating zone enlarging
the upper cooking zone from 140 mm Ø to 210 mm Ø by activating the outer heating
circuit in addition. Activation of the dual-circuit function will not change the preset power
level.
Activating the dual-circuit setting
The dual-circuit function can only be activated provided that the upper cooking zone is in use (power level
> 0). Touch the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor [2] for its activation. The LED [12] glowing above the sensor will
show you that the outer heating circuit is being activated in addition.
Deactivating the dual-circuit setting
To change back to the small heating circuit only, touch the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor [2] anew. The LED [12]
above the sensor extinguishing will show you that the outer heating circuit has been deactivated again.
Memorising the dual-circuit setting
When the cooking zone or the control is deactivated while the dual-circuit function is being active, the
control “memorises” this operating state. The next time the cooking zone is turned on, the dual-circuit
function is instantaneously activated.
Automatic cooking function (“A.“)
Each cooking zone comes equipped with an automatic cooking facility.
Its activation provides for a cooking zone to be heating subject to its maximum
power level (100 %) for the duration of a programmed preheat phase. This allows
for contents to be heated particularly fast, and so helps to economise on both
time and energy.
Activating the automatic cooking function
To activate the automatic cooking function for a cooking zone, it needs to be set at its maximum possible
power level ”9.“ (final power level setting). Activating the PLUS sensor once more will activate the
automatic cooking function, with the indication “A.” and the power level appearing alternately on the
display.
At the same time the duration of the preheat phase is dependent on the power level used to continue,
which is to be set afterwards. Once this preheat phase has elapsed, the indication “A.” will disappear, with
the cooking zone automatically switching back to the power level selected.
