Find a Scene from a DVD Menu
TOP MENU Button
MENU Button
DVD Video and DVD Audio discs usually have
menus that display the selections on the disc
on the TV screen. These menus may include
information about each scene, such as movie
names, song titles, artist information. A
top
menu
typically shows the highest level of or-
ganization on a disc:
Titles
for a DVD Video
disc or
Groups
for a DVD Audio Disc. Other
menus
may show additional selections, such
as individual scenes
.
Each disc package should
include information on the menu structure.
To make selections from a disc menu when a
DVD disc is loaded:
Press the TOP MENU or MENU button on
the remote. The following display window
appears on the TV screen, showing the
available selections.
Press the CURSOR buttons to
select the desired item.
Press the ENTER button to play the scene.
Some discs let you enter one of the scene
numbers from this display using the NUMERIC

a PBC-enabled disc in the player, the PBC menu
appears on the TV screen automatically when
the PLAY

To use the PBC menus:

then the 4 button. Playback of the selected
scene begins automatically.
Press the RETURN button on the remote to
display the menu again.
If NEXT or PREVIOUS appear on screen
during playback, use the TRACK
buttons to move to the next or previous
scene. This feature may differ on some discs.
To disable the PBC feature, start play-
back by entering the scene number using the
NUMERIC buttons instead of pressing PLAY
.
See the next topic for direct access selection
using the NUMERIC buttons.
To reactivate the PBC feature: If you have
disabled the PBC feature and want to reacti-
vate it, press STOP
to halt playback, then
PLAY
to display the PBC menu. The PCB
feature can also be reactivated from the On-
Screen Display:
Press ON-SCREEN to display the Video CD
or SVCD CONTROL screen.
Use the CURSOR
buttons to move the
over the PBC CALL field.
