1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Tethering & portable hotspot.
2. Make sure Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is checked.
3. Touch Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. The Configure Wi-Fi hotspot dialog opens.
4. Set your name and security options as follows:
Change the Network SSID (name) that other computers see when scanning for
Wi-Fi networks.
Choose a security option. Choosing WPA2 PSK adds a password field to the
Configure Wi-Fi hotspot dialogue. If you enter a password, you will need to re-
enter that password when you connect to the hotspot with a computer or
other device. To remove security from your Wi-Fi network, choose Open.
5. Touch Save.
7.4 VPN (Virtual Private Networks)
A VPN utilises public telecommunications networks to conduct private data
communications. Most VPN implementations use the Internet as the public infrastructure
and a variety of specialised protocols to support private communications through the
Internet.
Add a VPN
1. Touch All apps icon > Settings > Wireless & networks > More > VPN.
2. You will be asked to set a screen lock before entering the VPN settings screen.
3. Add the screen lock.
4. Touch Add VPN.
5. Fill in the information provided by your network operator.
6. Touch Save.
Connect to a VPN
1. On the VPN screen, touch the name of the VPN.
2. Enter any requested credentials.
3. Touch Connect.
Edit a VPN
1. On the VPN screen, touch & hold the name of the VPN.
2. Touch Edit VPN.
3. Edit the VPN settings you want.
4. Touch Save.
Delete a VPN
1. On the VPN screen, touch & hold the name of the VPN you would like to delete.
2. From the options given, select Delete.
