4 - AL WA YS USE SAFETY G LASSES OR F ACE SCREEN . Always wear gloves and
protect ive eyewear while operatin g the grind er and while retouching the wheel using
the dressin g stone. Also use face or dust mask if cutting operat ion is dusty . Everyd ay

5 - NEVER STOP THE WHEEL WITH YOUR HANDS. Never attempt to stop the
rotatio n of th e grind ing whe el with your hands.
6 - DISCO NNE CT TOO LS befo re servi cin g. Make sure the plu g is dis con nec ted when
tting or chang ing the grinding wheel and during any other operation of maintenan ce
or tran sport.
7 - KEEP GUAR DS IN PLACE AND IN WORKIN G ORD ER. Ne ver s tart t he gr inder

8 - REMOVE ADJUSTING KEY S AND WREN CHES. Make sure that ke ys and
adjusti ng wren ches ar e remov ed from tool before turning it on.
9 - DON’T FORCE TOOL. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it

10 - REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENTIONAL ST ARTING. Always make sure
that the start- up switc h is in the “0” (OFF) position befo re conn ecting the plug to
the out let.

12 - REMOVE THE PLUG from the mains immed iately if the cable is damaged or cut;

16 - DIRECTION OF FEE D. Feed wor k into a bl ade or cut ter against the direction of
rotatio n o f t he blade or cutte r o nly . Never advance t he chain with you r l eft hand until
the gri nding w heel ha s moved entire ly out side th e work area.

allow anybody but the user to remai n in th e vicinity of the grinder while it is operating

conditi on. When using an extensi on cord, be sure to u se one heavy enough to c arry
the curren t you product will draw . An undersiz ed cord will cause a drop in line voltage
resulti ng in loss of powe r an d overheating. T able 1 shows the co rrect size to us e
dependi ng on cor d length and nam eplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the nex t
heavier gage. The smaller the gag e numbe r , the heav ier the cord.
