KM1075 Karaoke set !
I have an HDMI connection and I’d like to use it
The karaoke set has no HDMI connections, but you can simply connect your set
alongside the HDMI connection via the AV cables (the ones with the red-white-yellow
plugs). When you want to sing with your karaoke set, set the TV to the correct input,
and when you again want to watch a DVD or Blu-ray, set the TV back to HDMI. The
picture quality of karaoke DVDs is not affected by this means of connection. Only
when using a karaoke Blu-ray (which we have not yet seen on the market) could any
quality loss occur. But with karaoke, it’s about the singing, and not mainly about the
picture.
I have a home cinema and I fail to hear any sound, although I do have picture
There are (a few) home cinema sets on the market without a sound output. These sets
only allow you to hear the sound from the DVD via the associated speakers (so you
hear nothing via the TV’s speakers). These sets are not suitable for connecting a
karaoke set. This is not to do with the karaoke set, but with the home cinema set. So
you could not connect a video recorder for example either. Sometimes these sets do
have a SCART output, but only the picture part of this SCART output works.
In this case you would be better to use another (ordinary) DVD player. Then you could
just connect the set and hear the sound via the TV.
