ofrechargeablebatteriesisnotpermitted.Werecommendtousealkalinebatteries.Theyguaranteealong
servicelife.
Slidethebatterycompartmentbackupwardsuntilyoufeelitclickinplaceandcarefullyclosethecompart-
mentwithscrew(15).

Connectthetwomeasuringtipswiththeobjecttobemeasured.
Thevoltagetesterautomaticallyswitchesonwhenitdetectsavoltageof6Vorhigher .
WhenusingthevoltagetesterinthemeasurementcategoryCAT IIIandCA TIV ,itisrecommended
toattachtheprotectiveplasticcoversprovidedtothemeasuringtiptodecreasethelengthofthe
freecontacttips(2)and(3).Thisreducestheriskofapossibleshortcutduringtesting.
Foreaseofuse,theproducthasaholder(4)forasecondmeasurementline.Thismakesmeasuring
e.g.directlyviamainssocketseasier .
Fordirectcurrent,thepolarityofthevoltagedisplaysreferstothemeasuringtipofthemeasur-
inginstrument(3).
Whenthebatteriesareempty ,onlythewarningindicator(5)for“DangerousV oltage”will
functionwhenthetestvoltagereaches50V/ACor120V/DC.Donotevertouchthemeasuring
contacts,ifthisindicatorison.Replacingthebatteries.
ThevoltagemeasuredisindicatedwiththeLEDs(7).
TheLED“AC”(9)isilluminatedforalternatingvoltagesandthevoltageisindicatedwiththeLEDs(7).
TheLED“DC”(10)isilluminatedfordirectvoltagesandthevoltageisindicatedwiththeLEDs(7).Ifthe
voltagehasanegativepolarity ,theLED“-”(8)isalsoilluminated.
Beforeacontinuitycheck,makesurethatthemeasurementobjectisde-energised.
Holdthetwomeasuringpolesonthepointstobemeasuredontheobject.Whencurrentuptoamaximum
of
400kΩ+50%
passesthroughthedevice,itmakesasignalsoundandtheLEDforcontinuitycheck„7“
lightsup.
Disconnectthemeasuringtipsfromthemeasurementobjectafterthemeasurement.
ThemeasurementdevicehasLEDilluminationontheoutsideofthecaseinordertoallowmeasurements
whenthereislittlelight.T oactivatethisfeaturepressonthebutton(13).TheLEDswitchesoffafterroughly
30secondsofftosavebatterypower .

thesurfacewhencleaning,topreventscratchmarks.
Pleasedisposeoftheproduct,whenitisnolongerofuse,accordingtothecurrentstatutory
requirements.Removeanyinsertedbatteriesanddisposeofthemseparatelyfromtheproduct.

iesandaccumulators.Disposalinthehouseholdwasteisprohibited.
