D5 0= no unbalance load limit for single-phase
charging,
1= unbalance load limit at 20A and D1-D3 >
25A (for D).
D6 1= TN/TT system

possible).
See chapter8.4.1, "The electrical connec-
tion in split-phase systems" on page 7
8.7 Initial start-up
8.7.1 Safety check
Document the results of the checks and measurements
carried out during initial start-up corresponding to the
applicable installation requirements and standards.
The local regulations relating to operation, installation
and environmental protection also apply.
8.7.2 Start-up procedure
1. Remove material residues from the connection area.
2. Check that every screw is correctly tightened and
every clamp is correctly engaged.
3. Fit the lower cover.
4. Secure the bottom cover with the mounting screws;
carefully tighten the mounting screws to the stop.
See Fig. 8.
5. Switch on power supply.
Start sequence is activated (duration up to 60
seconds).

1. Simulate and test the individual operating and protec-
tion functions with the EV simulator.
2. Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.
8.7.3 Checking the internal and external residual
circuit current breakers
Test sequence, phase 1:
3 probe measurements (L1-N-PE; L2-N-PE; L3-N-PE) of
the AC residual current to trip the type-B RCD fitted on
the installation side, and 3 probe measurements (L1-N-
PE; L2-N-PE; L3-N-PE) of the DC residual current to trip
the type-B RCD fitted on the installation side at the con-
tacts in the actuation shaft of the spring-loaded terminals
(smaller opening at top); the time to trip [ms] and the trip
current [mA] are documented for each of the 6 measure-
ments.
Starting situation for phase 2:
As for phase 1, but now an EV simulator is connected to
the charging cable, which simulates the status C (EV char-
ging) on the charging station. This means that voltage is
present at the charging cable and thus at the test sockets
of the EV simulator (closed relay in the charging station)
Test sequence, phase 2:
3 measurements plugged into the test sockets of the EV
simulator (L1-N-PE; L2-N-PE; L3-N-PE) of the AC residual
current to trip the sensor and 3 measurements plugged
into the test sockets of the EV simulator (L1-N-PE; L2-N-
PE; L3-N-PE) of the DC residual current to trip the sensor;
the time to trip [ms] and the trip current [mA] are docu-
mented for each of the 6 measurements.
In phase 2 it is not necessarily the case that the sensor
actually reacts "faster" (i.e. when the AC or DC residual
current is lower or the trip time is shorter). It is quite pos-
sible for the RCD on the installation side to react here
too.
We recommended carrying out the 3 measurements (L1-
N-PE; L2-N-PE; L3-N-PE) for loop impedance/fault current
of the line circuit breaker at the same time during phase
2 and documenting these.

NOTE
It is necessary to complete the following procedures
within a certain time, therefore read through all the
steps before starting the procedure.
9.1 Dim LED indicator
Fig.12
NOTE
The LED is set to max. brightness at the factory.
NOTE
The brightness of the error colour shades cannot be
changed.
10 Decommissioning the product
A decomissioning shall be carried out only by an electri-
cian.
uDisconnect the power supply.
uElectrically disconnect the charging station.
uDisposal: see chapter13, "Disposal" on page 9.
11 Maintenance, cleaning, repair
11.1 Maintenance
Maintenance must carried out by an electrician only, and
in accordance with local requirements.
11.2 Cleaning
DANGER
High voltages.
Danger of fatal electric shock. Do not clean the char-
ging station with a high-pressure cleaner or similar
device.
Clean the installation only with a dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents, wax or solvents.
11.3 Repair
Unauthorised repair of the charging station is not permit-
ted.
Webasto reserves the exclusive right to perform repairs to
the charging station. It is only permitted for repairs to be
carried out by an electrician using original spare parts
sold by Webasto.
12 To replace the charging cable
DANGER
Danger of fatal electric shock.
uSwitch off and secure the power supply to the
charging station.
NOTE
Only use genuine Webasto parts.
