EN - Instruction on mounting and use
Closely follow the inst ructions set out in this manual. All respon sibility,
for any e ventual inc onvenien ces, damages or fires c aused by no t complying
with the instruct ions in this manual, is declined. The ext ractor hood has bee n
designed excl usively for domestic use.
Caution
WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the mains until the in stallation is
fully complete .
Before any cleanin g or maintenance operatio n, disconnect hood from th e
mains by removin g the plug or disconnect ing the mains electrical s upply.
Always wear work glov es for all installati on and maintenance operati ons.
The appliance is n ot intended for use by chi ldren or persons wi th impaired
physical, se nsorial or men tal faculties , or if lacking in ex perience or
knowledge, u nless they are unde r supervision or have been trai ned in the
use of the applian ce by a person resp onsible for their safet y.
This applianc e is designed to be operated by adults, children should be
monitored to ensu re that they do not play wit h the appliance.

The hood must NEVER be used as a suppo rt surface unless specifically
indicated.
The premises w here the appliance is installed must be sufficiently ve ntilated,
when the kitch en hood is used t ogether with ot her gas combustion devices
or other fuels.
The ducting syst em for this applianc e must not be connect ed to any existi ng
ventilation sy stem which is being used for a ny other purpose su ch as
discharging exh aust fumes from appliances b urning gas or other fuel s.
The flaming of foods b eneath the hood itself is severely prohibit ed.
The use of expose d flames is detrimental to t he filters and may caus e a fire
risk, and must the refore be avoided in all cir cumstances.
Any fryin g must be do ne with care in order to make sure that the oil do es not
overheat and igni te.
Accessible part s of the hood ma y became hot when us ed with cooking
applicance.
With regards to the t echnical and safety mea sures to be adopted for fume
discharging it is important to closely f ollow the regulation s provided by the
authorised auth orities.
The hood must be reg ularly cleaned o n both the inside and out side (AT
LEAST ONCE A MONTH).
This must be compl eted in accordance with t he maintenance instruct ions
provided in th is manual). Failur e to follow the instructions p rovided in this
user guide regardin g the cleaning of the hood and filters will lead to the risk
of fires.
Do not use or leav e the hood without the l amp correctly mount ed due to the
possible risk of electric shocks.
We will not accep t any respons ibility for any fau lts, damage or fires caused
to the applianc e as a result of the no n-observance of th e instructions
included in this man ual.
This applia nce is marked according to the European directive 2002/96/EC on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equi pment (WEEE). By ensuring this produ ct
is disposed of c orrectly, you will he lp prevent potential n egative
consequences f or the envi ronment and human health, which c ould otherwise
be caused by inap propriate waste handlin g of this product.
The symbol
on the produc t, or on the do cument s accompa nying the
product, indi cates that this appliance may not be treated as household
waste. Instead i t should be taken to the appr opriate collectio n point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipm ent. Disposal m ust be carried out
in accordanc e with local env ironmental reg ulations for was te disposal.
Use
The hood is design ed to be used either for exhaus ting
or filter ve rsion
.
Installation
The minimum distan ce between the sup porting surface f or the cooking
equipment on the hob and th e lowest part of the range hoo d must be not
less than 5 0cm from elec tric cookers and 65cm from g as or mixe d cookers.
If the instru ctions for install ation for the gas hob specify a greate r distance,
this must be ad hered to.
The mains power suppl y must correspond t o the rating indicated on t he plate
situated insid e the hood. I f provided with a pl ug connect the hood to a socket
in compliance with cu rrent regulations and po sitioned in an accessi ble area,
after installa tion. If it not fitted with a plug (direc t mains connection) or if the
plug is not lo cated in an acces sible area, after i nstallation, appl y a double
pole switch in accord ance with standards whi ch assures the complete
disconnection of the mains under co nditions relating t o over-current categ ory
III, in accor dance with insta llation instr uctions.
Warning! Before re-connecting th e hood circuit to the mains su pply and
checking the eff icient function, alway s check that the mains cabl e is correctly
assembled.
Operation
The hood is fit ted with a control panel wit h aspiration speed sel ection control
and a ligh t switch to co ntrol cooking area lights.
Use the high sucti on speed in cases of conce ntrated kitchen vapo urs. It is
recommended th at the cooker hood suction is switched on for 5 minutes
prior to cookin g and to leave in ope ration during cookin g and for another 1 5
minutes approxim ately after terminati ng cooking.
Maintenance
ATTENTION! Before performing any maintenanc e operatio n, isolate the
hood from the elect rical supply by switching of f at the connector and
removing the conne ctor fuse.
Or if the appl iance has been co nnected through a plug and socket, then the
plug must be remov ed from the socket.
The cooker hood should be cleane d regularly ( at least with the same
frequency with which you carr y out mainten ance of the fat filte rs) intern ally
and externally. Cl ean using the cloth damp ened with neutral liqui d
detergent. Do not use abrasive product s. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
WARNING: Failure to ca rry out the basic cleani ng recommendations of the
cooker hood and r eplacement of the fi lters may cause fire ri sks.
Therefor e, we recomme nd oservi ng these ins tructions.
The manufactur er declines a ll responsibility for any dama ge to the moto r or
any fire damage l inked to inapprop riate maintena nce or failure to ob serve
the above safety recommen dations.
Grease filter - Fig. 11
The grease filter must be cleaned once a mont h using non aggressive
detergents, ei ther by hand or i n the dishwashe r, which must be set to a low
temperature and a short cycle. When w ashed in a dishw asher, the grease
filter may disc olour slightly, b ut this does no t affect its filter ing capacity.

Type 20 LONG LIFE - Washable activate d charcoal filter
The charcoal fi lter can be washed once every t wo months using hot wate r
and a suitable det ergent, or in a dishwashe r at 65°C (if the dishwa sher is
used, select the f ull cycle function and l eave dishes out).
Eliminate excess wat er without damaging th e filter, then remove th e
mattress locate d inside the plastic fram e and put it in the oven f or 10 minutes
at 100° C to dry complet ely. Replace the mattress eve ry 3 years and when
the cloth is damage d.
Type 15 - NON-washabl e activated charcoal filter
The saturation of the activated charcoal occurs after more o r less prolonged
use, dependi ng on the type of coo king and the regul arity of cleaning of the
grease fil ter. In any case it is nece ssary to replace th e cartridge at lea st
every four mounths. T he carbon filter may NOT be washed or regenerated.
Replacing lamps
Disconnect the ho od from the electricity.
Warning! Pr ior to touchi ng the light b ulbs ensure they are c ooled down.
