Operating your answering
machine from a Diverse
handset
You can use any handset registered to
the Diverse 3016 base station.
To switch the answering machine on
and off
• Press the INT then the 9 button.
The ON/OFF button flashes at the base
station to show the signal has been
received.
• Press the 8 button to switch on, press
it again to switch off.
• Press the RED PHONE button to return
the handset to standby.
To select the outgoing announcement
• Press INT, then 9 then the 7 button.
The voice tells you the current
outgoing announcement.
• Press the 3 button to switch to the
next announcement.
• Press the 1 button to go back to the
previous announcement.
• Press the 5 button to confirm the
setting.
• Press the RED PHONE button to return
the handset to standby.
To record an outgoing announcement
• Press INT, then 9, then the 7 button.
The voice tells you the current
outgoing announcement.
• Press the 6 button to start recording
announcement.
• Press the 5 button to record a
concluding announcement if desired.
• Press the 5 button again to stop
recording.
• Press the RED PHONE button to return
the handset to standby.
If you do not want to record a concluding
announcement, you must press the
5 button twice to stop recording.
To play back an announcement
• Press INT, then 9, then the 7 button.
The voice tells you the current
outgoing announcement.
• Press the 2 button to play back the
announcement.
• Press the RED PHONE button to return
the handset to standby.
To delete an announcement
• Press INT, then 9, then the 7 button.
The voice tells you the current
outgoing announcement.
• Press the 0 button to delete the
announcement. The pre-recorded
announcement will be reinstated.
• Press the RED PHONE button to return
the handset to standby.
