4) Pro bl em solution:
Problem: The play-back stops a fter a few min utes a nd it is shown an emp ty ba ttery alth ough I have in serted a n ew
battery.
Solution : Unfortunately it can happen that the DMP 100 is not compatible with some memory card s availa bl e in
market. In this case, if it is possibl e, try to use a memory card of another suppli er wit h the MP 3 play er. If the problem
is not solved thereby , plea se contact the Ser vi ce Hotlin e of Hama Gm bH.
Problem: It is no t possibl e to play-back other music data (e.g. WMA) as MP 3.
Solution : The Hama MP3 player is a mere play-back device for MP3 data. Other formats c an not be play ed wit h this
player. Ple as e convert thes e files to standard MP3 file s.
Problem: The buttons won’t work.
Solution : Check if the “Hold“ mode is activa te d and deac tiva te this if necessar y (see 2-2 Play-bac k of MP3 data)
Problem: The play-back time is too short usin g one battery.
Solution : As different memory card s in operati on hav e a diff erently hi gh current c onsumption, in the wor st c ase it
could happen that you ju st ca n reach a play-b ack time of about 30 min utes e. g. with a Secure Digital m emory card
with a very high capa city. To get the optimum performa nce of t he DMP 100 w e recommend to use therefor e a Hama
Secure Dig ital c ard or a Hama MMC card with an cap acity of up to 128 MB. Herewith you can reach an average play -
back time of ab out 4-6 hours (dependin g also on the typ e, age or on th e producer of the used battery) .
