Operation
Function
The water first flows from the water inlet through the
combination filter (fo r a description of the filte r , see
chapter Consumables) . Depending on the button
pressed, the water then flows thr ough the cooling mod-
ule or directly to the water disp enser outlet. Th e entire
water system must be cleaned chemically at regular in-
tervals.

The illuminated sensor buttons are activate d by a light
touch.

Shutting down
If the unit is not used for more than 4 days:
1. Close the water inlet.
2. Switch off t he unit.
Initial startup after decommission ing

Perform chemical cleaning af ter decommissioning.
1. Switch the device on.
2. Open the water inlet.
3. Dispense at least 2 litres of each type of water and
discard the water .
4. Carry out chemical clea ning (see chapter Chemical
cleaning)
Transport

Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transpo rta-
tion.
Do not transport the device i n a horizontal position.
When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it
to prevent it from slipping or overturn ing in accord-
ance with the respective valid guidelines.
Equipment shipping
The device must not be transp orted in a horizontal posi-
tion.
Select a suitable packaging for transport and mark it
on the outside with a conspicuous marking for verti-
cal transport.
If possible, place a small wooden pall et under the
shipping box.
Alternatively , take the device directly to a Kärcher
service centre.
Storage

1. Store the devi ce in a frost-protected place.
Care and service

Have the device repaired only by trained speciali st per-
sonnel.
Before performing any wo rk on the unit:
1. Pressur e relief of the un it.
a Close th e water inlet.
b Place a container under the water dispensin g
opening.
c Press the “Chilled water” button until no more wa-
ter is dispensed.
2. Switch off t he unit.
3. Pull out the mai ns plug.
Replacing the filte r

Health risk through the entry of germs
When installing the filt er cartridge, take special care to
ensure hygiene an d cleanliness.
Always wear sterile disposable gloves when installing
the filter .
1. Close the water supp ly inlet.
2. Press the "Chilled water" but ton until no more water
is dispensed.
3. Open t he filter cover latc h.
4. Remove the side filter cover .
5. Remove the filter to be replaced.

6. Unpack the new filter .
7. Insert the new fi lter .

8. Fit the side filter cover .
9. Close the filter cover latch.
10. Plug the mains plug into the socket.

12. Open the w ater in let.
13. Press the "Chilled water" butt on repeatedly until a
rinsing time of 5 minutes has been reache d (approx.
10 - 15 litres).
Note
The device automatica lly stops dispensing after 60 sec-
onds of continuous water dispensing.
14. Carry out chemical cleaning (see chapter Chemical
cleaning).
Chemical cleaning
몇CAUTION
The outlet w ater is c leaning wa ter
The dispensed cleaning water is not suitable for con-
sumption.
Chemical cleaning must be carried out afte r initial start-
up and generally at least every 6 months. The same ap-
plies after a shut down of more than 4 days or an excep-
tional filter change . The cleaning ki t is required for
chemical cleaning (see chapter Consumabl es).
Note
The chemical cleaning process takes approx. 45 min-
utes.
1. Close the water inlet.
2. Press the button for “chilled water” until n o more wa-
ter comes out.
3. Switch off the unit.
4. Remove the combination filter (see chapter Rep lac-
ing the filter).
5. Insert the service cup.

8. Connect the cle aning kit to th e unit input.
9. Connect the water inlet line to the cleaning kit.
10. If possible, bri ng the cleaning kit int o a vertical posi-
tion.

1 litre under the water outlet.
13. Plug the mains plug into the socket.
14. Open the w ater in let.
15. Switch the unit on.
Note
Carry out the following step s extremely carefully to en-
sure the greatest possible effecti veness of the chemical
cleaning.
Note
The cleaning agent used for chemical clea ning is
equipped with a blue col our indicator . The colouration of
the water that is output indicates t he concentration and
effectiveness of the cleaning agent.
Note
A small amount of foam is created during the cleaning
process. This is caused by the syst em and is normal.
16. Perform cleaning.
a Press the “Chilled water” button until the unit
stops dispensing water aft er 60 seconds.
b Wait 60 seconds for the deterg ent to dissolve.
c Repeat this process (rinse for 60 second s and
wait 60 seconds) a total of two times.
d Empty the receptacle after each rinsing process.
e Press the "Unchilled water" button for 30 sec-
onds.
The rinsing process is complet e. The deterge nt’s
contact time starts. It should be at least
15 minutes and can be extended as required.
f W ait at least 15 min utes for t he detergent to t ake
effect.
17. Close the water inlet.
18. Press any button until no more water is dispensed .
19. Switch off t he unit.
20. Remove the cleaning kit.
21. Reconnect the water supply hose to the unit.
22. Remove the service cup and reinse rt the filter .
Rinse after chemical cleaning
Note
Y ou can briefly interrupt the rinsing process at a ny time,
e.g. to empty the rinsing cup.
1. Place a suitable container wit h a capacity of at least
1 litre under the water out let.
2. Open the water inlet.
3. Switch the unit on.
4. Press the “Chilled water” butto n until the blue col our
is no longer visible.
5. Then rinse at le ast another 4 li tres.
6. Press the “Unchilled water” button until the blue col-
our is no longer visible.
7. Then rinse at le ast another 2 li tres.
The unit is ready for operati on.
Sampling
T o be able to test the effectiveness of the ch emical
cleaning, samples should be colle cted immediately after
completion of chemi cal cleaning under observance of
the rules for microbiologica l water analysis and these
should be evaluated by an accredited l aboratory .
Emptying the drip tray
The float signals that the drip tray is full. A red marking
ring on the float becomes visible when the maximum fill-
ing level has been reached.

1. Carefully remove and empty the full dri p tray .
2. Check the drip tray daily for soiling, clean if neces-
sary .
3. Reinstall the drip tray .
