USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Put the priorly prepared products into the trays. Products should be placed in such way that free air circulation is possible, in other words do not over stack the trays, this will affect the drying
result and time.
2. Put the trays onto the power base.
3. Put the cover on the appliance. During drying the cover should always be on the appliance.
4. Connect the appliance to a power source and turn it on by putting the switch to the position “ON”, the indicator light becomes red.
5. When finished using the appliance, turn it off by putting the switch to the position "OFF". Let the products cool down. Put dried products into a container/package suitable for storing food and put
it into a freezer.
6. Unplug the appliance.
NOTE: For even drying result, it is recommended to change the position of the trays from time to time during operation.
Preparation of products
• Wash products before putting them in the trays
• Do not put wet products into a tray, rub it dry.
• ATTENTION! Make sure the trays are completely dry before you put any products in them.
• Cut off any rotten or bad parts of products.
• Some of the fruit can be covered by its natural protective layer, this is why the duration of drying may increase. To avoid this, you could boil the products for about 1-2 minutes and then put it
to cold water after which drying it thoroughly.
• DISCLAIMER: THE DURATION OF THE DRYING TIMES STATED IN THIS INSTRUCTION ARE APPROXIMATES. The duration of drying products depends on many variables like thickness
of cutting, freshness, climate, humidity etc.
DRYING FRUIT
• Wash the fruit, take out the pit and cut off the bad or rotten parts.
• Slice into pieces which you can easily place between the sections in a tray.
• You can submerge the fruit into natural lemon- or pine apple juice, not to let it fade.
• If you would like your fruit to smell pleasantly, you could add cinnamon or coconut to the liquid in where you will be submerging the fruit (optional).
DRYING VEGETABLES
• Wash the vegetables, take out the core (if present) and cut off any bad or rotten parts.
• Slice into pieces which you can easily place between the sections in a tray. It is recommended to pre-boil vegetables for 1-5 minutes, rinse them in cold water and dry them before placing
them in a tray.
STORAGE OF DRYED FRUIT
• Containers for storage of dried products should be clean and dry.
• For better storage of dried fruit use glass containers with metal lids and put them into a dark dry place where the temperature is between be 5-20 degrees. During the first week after drying
check if there is any moisture in the container, if so, it means that the products are not dried well enough and you should dry it again.
ATTENTION! Do not place hot place hot or even warm products into containers for storage, let them cool down completely!
