With your new Philips Ladysha ve Double Contour y ou
can quickly , easily and comfor tably remo ve unwanted hair
from dr y or wet skin.
This innovativ e Ladyshave guarantees a fast and more
efcient shav e . Its double foil makes light w or k of ev en
the toughest hair s, without fear of nicks or cuts. With
this Ladyshav e , you can easily sha ve your underarms, bikini
zone and legs.
This Ladyshav e comes with two combs with which you
can trim your bikini zone and underar m hair to tw o
different lengths. This Ladysha ve also comes with an Easy-
Star t cap, which helps you use the appliance correctly at
the optimum angle for perf ect results
Y ou can use the Ladyshav e either dr y or wet. If y ou shave
while taking a bath or show er , we advise you to use soap
or shaving f oam for the most comfor table shav e . After
use, you can clean the Ladysha ve under the tap for extra
hygiene.
This Ladyshav e is a cordless appliance equipped with a
rechargeable batter y that can be charged in the char ger .

Important
Read this user manual carefully before y ou use the
appliance and sav e it for future reference.
Danger
Make sure the adapter does not get wet.
Never immerse the char ger in water nor rinse it
under the tap.
W arning
Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance
corresponds to the local mains voltage before you
connect the appliance.
Only use the Ladysha ve in combination with the
adapter and charger supplied.
Do not use the appliance if the adapter or the
appliance itself is damaged.
If the adapter or charger is damaged, always ha ve it
replaced with one of the original type in order to
av oid a hazard.
The adapter contains a transfor mer . Do not cut
off the adapter to replace it with another plug, as
this causes a hazardous situation.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensor y
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they ha ve been given super vision
or instr uction concerning use of the appliance by a
per son responsib le for their safety .
Children should be super vised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
Do not switch on the Ladyshav e while it is char ging.
Caution
Do not clean the Ladyshav e with water that is hotter
than shower temperature.
Charge , use and store the appliance at a temper ature
between 15°C and 35°C .
This appliance is only intended for sha ving and
trimming human hair . Do not use it f or any other
purpose .
General
The appliance complies with the internationally
approv ed IEC safety regulations and can be safely
used in the bath or shower and cleaned under the
tap (Fig. 2).

Electroma gnetic elds (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all standards
regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled
proper l y and according to the instr uctions in this user
manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientic
evidence availab le today .
Charging
It takes appro x. 12 hour s to charge the batter y fully .
Make sure your hands and the appliance are dr y when
you prepare the appliance for charging.
Alwa ys switch off the appliance befor e you put it in the
charger .
1 Put the appliance in the charger (Fig. 3).
2 Put the small plug in the charger and put the
adapter in the wall sock et.
Note: Mak e sur e the socket is live when you charge the
appliance. The electricity supply to sock ets in mirror cabinets
over w ashbasins or shaver soc k ets in bathr ooms may be cut
off when the light is turned off.
The charging light on the adapter goes on to
indicate that the battery is being charged (Fig. 4).
When the battery is fully charged, the a ppliance has
a cordless sha ving time of up to 20 minutes.
Using the appliance
Sha ving
If you sha ve frequently (at least ever y 3 da ys), put
the trimmer in the lower position for optimal skin
comfor t. In this case, only the doub le shaving foil
touches the skin (Fig. 5).
If you sha ve less frequently , make sure that the
trimmer is in the upper position.
1 Switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).
2 Place the trimmer and the double sha ving foil gently
on the skin. Mo ve the appliance slo wly over the
skin against the direction of hair gr owth while you
press it lightly (Fig. 7).
Make sure that the trimmer and both shaving foils are
always completel y in contact with the skin.
Easy-Start cap
If you are new to sha ving, y ou can use the Easy-Star t
cap to help you place the Ladysha ve on the skin at the
optimum angle. With the Easy-Star t cap on the Ladyshav e ,
the double sha ving foil and the trimmer are in contact
with the skin simultaneously . This helps to get perfect
results.
1 Make sur e that the trimmer is in the upper
position (Fig. 8).
2 Put the Easy-Start cap on the shaving head (Fig. 9).
T rimming
With the combs, y ou can tr im your bikini zone
or underar m hair to tw o different lengths:
Long-teeth comb: 3.5mm
Shor t-teeth comb: 7mm
1 Place the desired comb on the sha ving head
with the recess of the comb at the fr ont of the
appliance (Fig. 10).
2 Switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).
3 Move the a ppliance against the direction of hair
gro wth (Fig. 11).
Make sure that the surface of the comb alwa ys stays in
contact with the skin.
Cleaning and maintenance
Nev er use scouring pads, abrasiv e cleaning agents or
aggressiv e liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the
appliance.
Alwa ys remov e the Ladyshav e from the charger befor e
you clean it under the tap . Mak e sur e the Ladyshav e is
dry before you put it back into the charger .
Nev er immerse the charger in water or any other
liquid. Onl y wipe the charger with a dr y cloth.
After e ver y use
Clean the Ladyshav e ever y time you ha ve used it.
1 Switch off the Ladyshav e.

2 Press the r elease buttons and remov e the shaving
head (Fig. 12).
Do not exert any pr essure on the double sha ving foil to
a void damage.
3 Brush the hairs off the cutter unit and the
double sha ving foil. Mak e sure y ou also brush
a way an y hairs that hav e collected under the
trimmer (Fig. 13).
4 For extra thor ough cleaning, y ou can also rinse the
Ladysha ve under the tap (Fig. 14).
5 After cleaning, al wa ys put one of the combs on the
sha ving head to av oid damage to the double shaving
foil.
T wice a y ear
1 Lubricate the double shaving f oil and the trimmer
with a drop of se wing machine oil twice a
year (Fig. 15).
Envir onment
Do not throw awa y the appliance with the nor mal
household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in
at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing
this, y ou help to preser ve the environment (Fig. 16).
The built-in rechargeable batter y contains substances
that may pollute the en vironment. Always remo ve
the batter y before you discard and hand in the
appliance at an ofcial collection point. Dispose of
the batter y at an ofcial collection point for batteries.
If you ha ve trouble remo ving the batter y , you can
also take the appliance to a Philips ser vice centre . The
staff of this centre will remov e the batter y for you
and will dispose of it in an environmentally saf e way .
Disposal of the battery
1 T ake the appliance out of the charger .
2 Let the motor run until the batter y is completel y
empty .
3 Remove the fr ont panel with a screwdriv er (Fig. 17).
4 T o remo ve the bottom part of the
appliance, break the rib and pull the bottom part
downwards (Fig. 18).
Do not attempt to replace the battery .
Do not put the appliance in the plugged-in charger
again after you ha ve r emoved the battery .
5 Undo the screw (Fig. 19).
6 Remove the battery with a scre wdriver . Move
the battery back and for th a f ew times to loosen
it (Fig. 20).
